About
A door becomes a table. A threshold becomes a place.
A fragment of a door from an old building in Vincent Yard was destined for the skip after the building was renovated for office use.
One section survived — carrying the marks, proportions and memory of its previous life. Rather than discard it, Andrii Matviychuk transformed the fragment into a new architectural object.
The Door Table exists between furniture and architecture. It can become a presentation table, a gathering point, an island for objects, or simply a surface around which people meet.
Its original function was to separate spaces. Its new function is to bring people together.
